1 Scope
This document specifies the working conditions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, delivery requirements, installation and maintenance of the pitch system of grid-connected wind turbines (hereafter referred to as pitch system).
This document applies to the pitch system of grid-connected horizontal axis wind turbines, and the pitch drive is hydraulic or electric.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2422, GB/T 2900.1, GB/T 2900.53 and GB/T 4365 as well as the following apply.
3.1
pitch system
equipment controlling and adjusting the blade pitch angle of wind turbines
Note: It mainly includes pitch control device, pitch drive device, backup power source, pitch actuator, pitch lubrication device and pitch detection device.
3.2
electricpitch system
equipment adjusting the blade pitch angle by driving the pitch gearbox with a pitch motor
Note: It mainly includes pitch controller, pitch servo driver or frequency converter, backup power supply, pitch motor, pitch gearbox, pitch bearing, pitch lubrication system, pitch detector and other components.
3.3
hydraulicpitch system
equipment adjusting the blade pitch angle by driving the linkage mechanism with hydraulic cylinder (or other hydraulic actuator)
Note: It mainly includes pitch controller, hydraulic station, valve manifold, accumulator, hydraulic cylinder, linkage mechanism, pitch bearing, pitch lubrication system, pitch detector and other components.

equipment adjusting the pitch angle of a blade by using two or more pitch drive equipment

equipment driving the pitch actuator to act
Note: The pitch drive equipment in the electricpitch system includes pitch servo driver (or frequency converter) and motor; the pitch drive equipment in multi-driver pitch system includes hydraulic station and valve manifold.

pitch actuating equipment
equipment driving the blades of wind turbine to rotate to adjust the pitch angle of the blades
Note: In the electricpitch system, pitch actuating equipment includes pitch control gear box and pitch control bearing; in hydraulicpitch system, the pitch control actuator includes hydraulic cylinder (or other hydraulic actuators), linkage mechanism and pitch control bearing.

pitch system target position error
difference between the actual position and the target position of the blade pitch angle sensor after pitch action by the pitch control actuator upon receiving pitch instructions from wind turbine control system

pitch system following error
difference between the actual position and the target position of the blade pitch angle sensor at a moment after the pitch system reaching a stable speed upon receiving continuous pitch control instructions from wind turbine control system
