1 Scope This part of GB/T 231 specifies the principle, symbols and abbreviated terms, apparatus, test piece, procedure, uncertainty of the results and test report for the Brinell hardness test for metallic materials. This part specifies the Brinell hardness test is up to the limit of 650 HBW.
